Looking for some fun ideas to get out and play? We’ve got them! Check out the ideas below for healthy ways to get your kids moving all yearlong. Be sure to dress for the weather, stay hydrated and wear protective equipment.

Summer and Fall Activity Ideas

  • Take your dog for a long walk.
  • Go fishing and let your kids reel in the catch of the day.
  • Grab a bucket and go berry picking.
  • Pack a picnic and go for a hike on one of Alaska's beautiful trails.
  • Take the Healthy Futures Challenge!
  • Participate in Healthy Futures events.
  • Go bird watching and see how many species you can spot.
  • Learn how to identify Alaska’s beautiful wildflowers.
  • Race your kids to your favorite park.
  • Go fly a kite on a breezy dayo fly a kite on a breezy day.
  • Play hide and seek among the trees in your neighborhood.
  • Pull out the roller skates and hit the trails.
