Radac Training - RADACT strives to increase the educational level of individuals entering, or working in, the substance abuse counseling field.
Akeela Training- Akeela, Inc. is a leading statewide provider of alcohol and drug abuse prevention, education, training, intervention and treatment services in Alaska. Akeela is dedicated to assisting Alaskans in developing and sustaining healthy communities by working to reduce and eliminate the incidence and prevalence of alcohol, and other drug abuse and related problems. Other prevention programs and services available at Akeela include:
- Training & Technical Assistance
The CoDI team accesses current research, models and training while creating assessment and intervention strategies for the co-occurring disorder population. Provision of topical workshops, skill trainings and publication of materials addressing co-occurring disorders is available to behavioral health care providers, medical providers, teaching professionals, parents, and interested community members. CoDI provides training, consultation and/or supervision to agencies in the Mat-Su Borough (currently working toward expanding throughout the State of Alaska) that serve adolescents, chronically mentally ill, elderly and disabled individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders.
Center for Human Development UAA - If you provide community, familial, workplace, educational, or respite support to children or adults with disabilities, you can enroll in their distance delivered courses, taught using video and print instructional materials, homework activities completed in your community, and audio conferences. You can enroll for either professional development or University of Alaska credit.
National Association of Social Workers (Alaska Chapter) - The Alaska Boards for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Psychologists recognize Continuing Education programs sponsored by the NASW Alaska Chapter. They also have a Video Lending Library which offers CE credits for videos of trainings they have hosted or other approved offerings, including Ethics.

Many of the national associations provide continuing education and training during annual conferences or throughout the year.
