Stay up to date

Protect yourself and everyone close to you by staying up to date with your vaccines. You are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines when you have completed a primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended for you.

COVID-19 vaccines are recommended for everyone 6 months and older.

Latest Recommendation: Updated Booster

People aged 5 and older are recommended to receive an updated bivalent COVID booster if they have completed a primary series and it has been at least two months since either their primary series or a booster dose.

As of December 9, 2022 updated bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are available for children aged 6 months through 5 years. Learn more about staying up to date on COVID vaccines.

COVID-19 vaccines for immunocompromised people

If you are moderately or severely immunocompromised, you are at an increased risk of severe COVID-19 illness and death. You are best protected when you stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines.

Individuals ages six months and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised are recommended to get an extra shot in their primary series, followed by a booster shot if they are 5 and older.

In addition to vaccination, immunocompromised individuals may also consider EVUSHELD. EVUSHELD is an FDA-authorized monoclonal antibody used to prevent COVID-19 infection for moderately to severely immunocompromised people. Your health care provider can help you determine if this treatment is right for you.
