Office of School Health and Safety

Students are safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

The purpose of the Office is:

  • to promote the health, safety, and well-being of students; 
  • provide a greater opportunity to partner and support schools in all aspects of physical and mental health which can impact a child’s ability to learn; and
  • provide a central access point for school administrators and educators to access health specific training, technical assistance, resources, and subject matter experts. 

Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) Model

The Office promotes the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model which provides a coordinated and collaborative approach designed to improve learning and health in our schools.
