Overview

The electronic Plan of Correction (ePoC) process requires Medicare-certified facilities to receive survey statements of deficiency and send survey plans of correction though an electronic submission system.

Background

Since January 1, 2016, all Alaska Medicare-certified long-term care facilities have been required to use this ePoC system to receive their statements of deficiency and send their plans of correction. Facilities that do not have users signed up to use the ePoC system risk being out of compliance. At this time, CMS is only making the ePoC available to certified nursing facilities.

Facility training

CMS ePoC trainings explain how nursing facilities will use the system for processing their plans of correction using the ePoC process. For technical help with the video or accessing the ePOC enrollment forms, please contact the help desk at the QIES Technical Support Office (QTSO).

Facility user sign up

All providers must request a CMSNet User ID to access secure CMS sites (e.g., submissions pages / reports) unless an otherwise secure connection has been established. Instructions on individual access can be found on the QIES Technical Support website.
