Campylobacter
Campylobacter is a bacteria that can cause an intestinal illness in people and animals. Symptoms may include diarrhea (sometimes bloody), abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. Transmission is usually via the fecal-oral route, with infected people or animals shedding the bacteria in their stools. Alaska has seen clusters of infection related to raw milk.
