Red Ribbon Week 2024 - Life is a Movie, Film Drug-Free

Celebrate Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31)

Red Ribbon Week takes place each year from October 23 through October 31. Join us in the mission to keep Alaska's kids drug-free.

Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free

About Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. During Red Ribbon Week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to increase their knowledge by learning more about the destructive effects of drug abuse, including prescription drug misuse, and renew the commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Life is a Movie, Film Drug-Free

The creative theme was submitted by Cheryl Holsapfel, Digital Art Teacher, and Devansh Aggarwal from Solon Middle School in Ohio.  Much like playing a positive role in a movie, this year’s theme encourages students to decorate their classroom doors using movie-related imagery while highlighting the importance of living a drug-free lifestyle.
