Bringing in the Bystander

Bringing in the Bystander® is a bystander education and training intervention developed by the University of New Hampshire Prevention Innovations Research Center program developed for college students and delivered in a 90 minute interactive session. This program provides participants with skills to help them act when they see behavior that puts others at risk for violence, victimization, or perpetration.

These skills include speaking out against rape myths and sexist language, supporting victims, and intervening in potentially violent situations. The University of Alaska Anchorage Student Health and Counseling Center offers Bringing in the Bystander® and more information on its website.
