Community Council

Purpose

By federal requirement, states that seek to develop and implement Medicaid 1915(k) Community First Choice (CFC) services and supports must first form a “Development and Implementation Council,” the majority of which must be comprised of individuals with disabilities, elderly individuals, and their representatives. The purpose of this Council is to act as an advisory group that provides input and guidance to the State regarding the development and implementation of the CFC option and a 1915(i) Home and Community-Based Services option.

About the Council

There are 10 voting and 10 advisory members organized in 2 separate committees. Voting membership includes individuals directly affected by the CFC design. Advisory members include representatives from 10 different organizations. Additional details are provided on the membership roster under “Council Documents” on this page.
