  • Choose Connections: An upstream universal prevention campaign elevating the shared protective factor of “connections” to build resiliency and help us navigate the sometimes challenging world that lead to risky behaviors like misusing alcohol.
  • FASD Collaborative: Explore a wide variety of on demand education and training opportunities produced by this cross-organization international initiative to increase high quality support and training options for the FASD community.
  • Red Shoes Rock: A Global FASD Awareness Campaign giving voice and support to those affected by prenatal alcohol exposure.
  • FASD United: the National (USA) Voice on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
  • Examining FASD Diagnosis ECHO: a virtual learning network to explore the current issues, tools, systems, and practices currently being used to diagnose FASD so we can reimagine the future of FASD diagnosis in Alaska.

    Alaska Department of Education & Early Development
    Prenatal alcohol and drug related disabilities have a huge impact on the educational system in the state of Alaska. This module will teach you about disabilities realted to prenatal exposure to alcohol and drugs.
  • Educating Students with an FASD: Presented by Sr. Suzette Fisher, SND, Ed.S. this hour-long presentation explores the relationship of chronological age and developmental age of students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and realistic expectations to recognize the multi-layered interventions necessary to ensure student success.

Family/Caregiver

  • FASD Across the Lifespan: a 7- part series for caregivers exploring the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure across the lifespan from infancy through adulthood. This series is focused on caregivers, though all working with families and professionals working with families are welcomed. Alaska Licensed foster parent can earn training credit toward licensing requirements by completing the questionnaire.
