​ Birchwood Behavioral Health – Specialized Treatment, Anchorage

GIRLS PROGRAM

Our program environments are structured with two primary goals in mind: Reduce the effects of trauma and increase resiliency. To help accomplish these goals, our Treatment Counselors provide 24/7 supervision to clients where they are implementing Trauma Informed, pro-active interventions to help reduce expressions of trauma. In addition, our programs provide the following services:

  • Medication Management provided by PHD Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Daily Psycho-Educational Groups
  • Pre-teaching, Teaching, Redirecting, Modeling, and Limit Setting
  • Exposure to a wide variety of recreational, cultural, spiritual and leisure activities
  • Educational support services
