Kenai Peninsula Community Care Center -
Emergency Shelter, Kenai

KPCCC seeks “to promote positive family living in our community through treatment, shelter and education.

KPCCC provides residential services for behaviorally and emotionally disturbed adolescents who cannot be maintained at home or in foster care. Two five bed facilities, Long Term and the Hutchings Home, serve the youth and each has a live in “Teaching Family” Couple that assist the youth in addressing treatment issues including relationships with authority figures, peer relationships, rational problem solving, family values, academic success and vocational skills. The goal of the modeling is to extinguish destructive behaviors and teach constructive behaviors based on the social norms of the community. KPCCC also provides therapeutic services to youth in all of our facilities in the form of individual, group and family therapy.
