    Workplaces Model Policy

    Alaska's Smokefree Workplace Law

    The Smokefree Alaska bill, that prohibits smoking in buses and taxis, stores, restaurants and other enclosed public places and workplaces was signed into law on July 17, 2018 by Governor Bill Walker. The law is now recorded in Alaska Statute as AS 18.35.301. Beginning Monday, October 1, 2018, smoking and vaping is not allowed in enclosed public places and places of employment.
