Seeking Public Input on the Proposed Amendments to the IDD Waiver, APDD Waiver, CCMC Waiver, and ISW Waiver

The Division of Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) is requesting comment from recipients, waiver service providers, and other stakeholders on the proposed waiver amendments to four of Alaska’s 1915(c) home and community-based services waivers.

The amended waivers are:
  1. People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
  2. Adults with Physical and Developmental Disabilities (APDD)
  3. Children with Complex Medical Conditions (CCMC)
  4. Individualized Supports Waiver (ISW)
The proposed changes:
  • IDD, APDD, and CCMC: The modification of the Residential Habilitation service to include Specialized Family Habilitation Homes, and Specialized Group Habilitation Homes which will service highly acute participants with complex needs; and
  • IDD, APDD, CCMC and ISW: The allowance of Legally Responsible Individuals (LRIs) to provide In-Home Supports services and Supported Living services under specific circumstances.

The proposed waiver amendments can be viewed below.
