In June of 2015, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services contracted with a team of local and national health experts to engage stakeholders, conduct policy research, actuarial and financial analysis, and support DHSS leadership as they consider options for redesign and expansion. The consultant team’s final report, which includes recommendations for Medicaid redesign and expansion in Alaska, is scheduled to be released Friday, January 22, 2016. This webinar is the final of five webinars planned to provide the public with an opportunity to hear directly from the contract team about the project’s findings.

In this webinar, our team will:

• Share key highlights from the consultant team’s final report, including the recommended package of reforms; initiatives analyzed but not recommended; and potential and recommended expansion coverage models

• Summarize findings of actuarial analysis, including projected costs and savings associated with the reform initiatives and expansion coverage option explored through this project

• Answer participant questions about the project and the consultant team’s recommendations
