Welcome to the 2024 WIC and Senior Famers’ Market Nutrition Programs.  These programs are federally funded with the goal of increasing the awareness, use of, and sales at local farmers’ markets as well as provide fresh, unprepared, Alaska grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs to our low-income seniors (age 60+) and WIC participants.  Senior benefits also include honey as an approved food.  Eligible applicants are issue checks on a first come first serve basis to purchase produce from authorized farmers.

How do I apply?

Applications are accepted at participating WIC and Senior Agencies in areas of the state where there are authorized farmers.  To find out more information on how to apply as a senior, please visit our Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition webpage. To apply for the WIC program, please visit our WIC eligibility page. If you have questions please email doh.dpa.wic.vendor@alaska.gov or call 907-465-3100.
