What training is available?

We highly recommend all responders complete the following three classes.

• Introduction to Incident Command System (IS-100.b)
• Ready to Respond: Personal Preparedness Continuing Education Credits
  Download the Ready to Respond booklet
• Basic Disaster Life Support
• This class is offered to volunteers free of charge 1-2 times per year. See Upcoming Trainings.

ALASKA RESPOND provides FREE training to responders on a variety of emergency preparedness topics. We will be posting these training opportunities and sending you information periodically. The trainings will be provided through live webcasts and broadcasts; local and state conferences; symposia; and printed or electronic materials. Trainings provide continuing education contact hours. JUST-IN-TIME TRAINING (JITT) would be provided prior to you being deployed for any exercise or real event.
