The Alaska Division of Public Assistance (DPA) has regional offices, program offices, and a virtual office option.
Office hours & services
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interviews are closed off at 3 p.m. to allow time to complete them before the end of the business day. Unless otherwise noted, Regional Offices offer full-service Monday through Thursday, with limited clerical service on Friday. The services offered in the Sitka office is limited to general inquiries at this time.

- Emergency Medicaid (including pregnancy and newborn coverage)

- Report or follow-up on reported changes, to give proof such as job or rent
- General questions and referrals to community resources

Use this service to upload the following kinds of digital documents to DPA:

Important! If you have an existing Public Assistance case, please include your name, last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and date of birth so we can identify you.
Acceptable file types for documents are: .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tif, .tiff, and unprotected (not password protected) .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx
