Farmers’ Market Nutrition Assistance Programs

All Alaskans should have access to fresh, healthy, local foods. Nutrition assistance programs help make healthy, local foods more affordable for low income Alaskans and provide more revenue for Alaska’s farmers and small food businesses.

WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
WIC (Women, Infants and Children Program) participants currently enrolled in WIC receive $25 in coupons to purchase fresh local fruits, vegetables and herbs at a participating farmers’ market.

Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
Low-income seniors can get $25 in coupons to purchase fresh local fruits, vegetables and herbs at participating farmers’ markets.
For more information about WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Programs, visit the Alaska Family Nutrition Program website.
