Who we are
The centralized Budget Section manages policies, procedures, training, and controls for the department’s operating budget, ensuring compliance with state laws.
What we do
We offer advisory and technical support on the operating budget to the six divisions within DOH. We also provide management guidance and analysis to the Commissioner’s Office.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze, monitor, and manage the annual operating budget
- Handle budget amendments, revised programs, and supplemental budgets
- Coordinate legislative and Alaska Mental Health Trust budget requests
- Oversee performance measure reporting and compliance
