Supporting Medicaid and Denali KidCare programs for Alaska Native and American Indian communities
Who we are
Tribal Medicaid Administrative Claiming (TMAC) supports effective and efficient administration of Medicaid and Denali KidCare Programs. This includes outreach and support for Alaska Native and American Indian people, and non-Tribal members served by Tribes and Tribal Health Organizations in Alaska.

What we do
The goals and objectives of the TMAC are to:
- Strengthen the partnership between DOH and participating federally recognized Tribes and Tribal organizations
- Share in the responsibility for promoting access to Medicaid and Denali KidCare (M-CHIP) for Alaska Native and American Indian people
- Reimburse the Tribes and Tribal Health Organizations for performing Medicaid and Denali KidCare outreach and linkage activities

Program information
Tribes or Tribal Health organizations may participate in TMAC once an agreement has been executed.
Administrative Claiming
The rate for Tribal Medicaid Administrative Claiming for all providers for FFY25 (10/1/24 through 9/30/25) is $17.10 per unduplicated recipient per quarter.
