Who we are

ARISE works to stop the spread of HIV and improve care for people with HIV across the state. Members include doctors, public health workers, and social service professionals who share the goal of preventing HIV in Alaska.

What we do

Members help prevent and manage HIV in Alaska. ARISE focuses on teaching Alaskan communities and healthcare providers about HIV prevention and care. They do this in many ways, like sharing recommendations, setting up booths at events, creating online resources, and educating people about effective strategies. One of their key jobs is to help create a 5-year plan called the Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan. This plan is based on science and feedback from people most affected by HIV and guides HIV services in Alaska.
