Who we are

The Alaska Cancer Partnership is a group of organizations and individuals working together to prevent and control cancer in Alaska. Supported by the CDC through Alaska’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, the Partnership includes over 100 members from diverse sectors such as Tribal healthcare, nonprofits, government programs, and community volunteers.

What we do

The Alaska Cancer Partnership focuses on reducing the impact of cancer by:

  • Identifying priorities for cancer prevention and control
  • Updating the Alaska Cancer Plan every five years to guide statewide efforts
  • Increasing HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccination rates with community-based interventions
  • Creating cancer education materials with Community Health Workers
  • Supporting a network of lung cancer screening facilities to improve care
  • Coordinating survivor support programs across Alaska

Through these efforts, the Partnership works to create a healthier future for all Alaskans.
