Who we are
Quality Assurance is multi-faceted team dedicated to protecting the health and safety of Alaskans receiving services. They monitor services by reviewing records, handling critical incident reports, investigating complaints, reviewing deaths, managing fair hearings and mediations, and tracking data. The unit also encompasses the service authorization team. Quality Assurance works diligently toward providing support and guidance when needed, offers great customer service, and works with stakeholders and partner agencies.
What we do
The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for the following activities:
- Critical Incident Report Review, Investigations, Remediation and Reporting
- Mortality Review, Investigations, and Reporting
- Investigation of service-related complaints and regulator noncompliance
- Recipient Mediations and Fair Hearings
- Electronic Visit Verification
- Generate and monitor service authorizations for waiver, Community First Choice, and Personal Care Services
