Alaska's Automated Information Management System (AKAIMS)
DBH grant management and records system
Overview
The goal of the Alaska Automated Information Management System (AKAIMS) project is to develop, implement, and maintain an evolving, web-based application and database that serves multiple purposes across the Division of Behavioral Health’s Grant Funded Continuum. This includes a management information system (MIS), and an electronic health record (EHR) designed for Behavioral Health.
As an MIS reporting tool, the system allows the Division to meet current and emerging State and Federal reporting requirements, such as:
- State quarterly reporting
- Treatment Episode Data Set
- Mental Health Block Grant
- Substance Use, Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services Block Grant
Who qualifies?
AKAIMS is open to:
- Division of Behavioral Health Grantees
- Community Behavioral Health Center providers that bill Medicaid
- FASD Diagnostic Teams
