Denali KidCare is Alaska’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and covers children from birth through age 18 and pregnant women who meet income limits.

You can apply through the federal health care marketplace or via the Alaska Connect Portal.

How to use

Find a Medicaid provider

Renewing Denali KidCare

For children, Denali KidCare is typically issued for 12 months at a time.

You will need to renew your case every 12 months to ensure there is not a break in coverage. Approximately 45 days before coverage ends, the division will send a renewal form to your household if needed.
