Farmers' Market Vendor Application
Forms for farms and markets wanting to take part in Alaska Farmers' Market programs
Overview
Fresh fruits and vegetables are an essential part of good nutrition. And Alaska farmers grow some of the best produce in the country. The Alaska Farmers' Market Nutrition Programs (FMNPs), funded by the USDA and the State of Alaska fund, help introduce eligible Alaskans to Alaska-grown produce.
The programs issue benefits to eligible seniors and people participating in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. These seniors and WIC participants can use their benefits to buy Alaska-grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs, at local markets and farm stands.
Our FNMP programs help Alaska’s economy by bringing new customers to Alaskan farmers who sell their products directly to consumers.
Who qualifies?
To qualify as a vendor, farmers must:
- Be located in Alaska
- Have a valid Alaska business license
- Grow at least 33% of the produce they sell
- Sell only Alaskan-grown products
- Receive annual training
- Be open for public sale:
- At least one day a week
- In a consistent location
- For at least 8 consecutive weeks between July 1 and October 3
To continue in the program, vendors must reapply every three years.
