Become a State-Approved Heating Assistance Program Vendor
Information on joining the Heating Assistance Program as a vendor
Overview
The Heating Assistance Program (HAP) works mainly with home heating suppliers who agree to the rules in the HAP Vendor Agreement, which explains the rights and responsibilities of both parties. Once signed, the agreement is updated every three years unless changes are needed sooner.
Who qualifies?
To qualify as a State-approved vendor you are required to have an active business license registered with the State of Alaska and provide fuel pick-up and/or delivery service in a community eligible to receive HAP benefits.
How to sign up
To become a State-approved vendor you will need to review the HAP Vendor Manual, the HAP Community Listing, and the HAP Vendor Agreement. Submit your signed vendor agreement to vendors.liheap@alaska.gov. The HAP coordinator will review your submission and contact you to finalize your State-approved vendor status.
