Overview

The Brain Injury Council of Alaska (BICA) helps Alaskans with brain injuries they were not born with. Traumatic brain injuries happen from a physical force, like a fall or accident. Acquired brain injuries are those that have internal causes, like a stroke or a tumor.

The program offers TABI support and services, and through multiple agencies in Alaska.

  • Support and services include:
  • Help getting a TABI diagnosis
  • Creating a care plan
  • Teaching skills for independent living
  • Coordinating services or referrals
  • Connecting with peer support (online or in-person)
  • Mini-grants for supplies/services
