Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in Alaskans
Overview
Unintentional and intentional injuries are leading causes of death for Alaskans aged 5 to 54. For individuals aged 5 to 14 and 25 to 54, unintentional injuries—including drug overdoses, falls, transportation accidents, and drownings—pose the greatest risk.
Together we can create a healthier future for all Alaskans by educating ourselves on the risks for injury and steps we can take to prevent them.
