North Star Behavioral Health – The Trail Programs
The Trail Programs provide inpatient acute care for children and teens between the ages of 4 – 18. We offer evidenced based care practices which include: Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy; trauma informed psychoeducational group curriculum, the S.E.L.F Model (Safety, Emotion, Loss, Future); experiential therapy with activity and recreational based groups; cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression and anger control; aggression reduction therapy; stress management groups and yoga classes. Evidence-based practices are tailored to patient age and developmental ability. In addition to the structured groups we utilize comfort carts and sensory items to assist patients needing extra support with de-escalation.
