The Youth Advocates of Sitka, Inc. Hanson House Services

The Youth Advocates of Sitka, Inc. Hanson House program is a level-III Residential Child Care treatment facility for male and female youth ages 10 (ten) though 18 (eighteen) years old. Hanson House serves youth that is in custody of their families as well as custody of the state. Hanson House is a community base program where the youth attend the community schools and participate in community activities.

Hanson House is a positive family-like environment, which we believe is an important part of treatment. The program includes family-style meals, recreational activities, and a home-like (non-institutional setting) residence. Youth come to the house for a variety of reasons. Hanson House staff strives to work with each resident individually. Each resident participates in the development of their own comprehensive treatment plan while giving input to their present problems and goals.

The program has a full time clinical staff that provides assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, and if needed substance abuse treatment as well as treatment team meetings.
Staff to client ratio is 1:5.
