Resiliency Informed Sexual Health Education (Homer)

Goals

  • Increase the number of youth referrals to KBFPC;
  • Increase the likelihood of youth who practice abstinence or choose to use contraception and/or condoms during sexual activity;
  • Increase youth knowledge of how emotional awareness affects decision making.

The Resiliency Informed Sexual Health and Wellness curriculum is a Peer-to-Peer Education Approach to Comprehensive Sexual Health Education in Alaska. The lessons are implemented by peer educators and adult facilitators working with youth in Alaska who are committed to reducing unintended teen pregnancies and promoting healthy life choices.
