Who we are
Alaska’s Diabetes Prevention and Control Program focuses on preventing and managing diabetes through a statewide network of services and partnerships.
We support:

- Education and screening events
What we do
- Provide a statewide network of proven programs to prevent type 2 diabetes in people at high risk and delay complications in those with diabetes
- Connect Alaska adults to online programs through Alaska’s Fresh Start campaign to prevent and manage diabetes and other chronic diseases
- Educate Alaskans about the serious health risks of uncontrolled diabetes and the programs available to help prevent and manage it
- Engage health care partners to increase diabetes screening and offer more in-person and online prevention and self-management programs
- Monitor the percentage of Alaskans living with diabetes
