Get involved and learn more about funding opportunities through the Rural Health Transformation Program
RHTP regional meetings
The Alaska Department of Health will hold a series of statewide regional planning meetings during the initial funding cycle of the Rural Health Transformation Program. The purpose of these meetings is to provide a forum for community stakeholders to give input on priority issues, challenges, and opportunities in their area related to RHTP initiatives and set a vision for rural health reform in their region.
To ensure broad participation, meetings will be hosted in communities across Alaska, including hub and rural locations. Initial meetings are scheduled for:
- Juneau: November 12, 2026
- Utqiagvik / North Slope: October 27, 2026
- Greater Anchorage Area: September 22, 2026
- Valdez: September 3, 2026
Initial meetings have been held:
- Ketchikan: August 10, 2026
- Dillingham: July 8, 2026
- Cordova: June 29-30, 2026
- Triangle (Delta Junction, Tok, Glennallen, Copper River Basin): June
25, 2026 - Mat-Su: June 4, 2026
- Fairbanks: May 5, 2026
- Kenai Peninsula: April 30, 2026
- Seward: April 29, 2026
Additional meetings are being planned in other regions throughout the state as we work to reach as many communities as possible.
How to get involved in regional meetings
We welcome engagement in the regional meeting planning process. If you are interested in attending a scheduled regional meeting or would like to express interest in having a regional meeting in your community, please fill out the Regional Meeting Interest Form.
Due to space constraints, these events will have a curated guest list to support meaningful participation. All submissions are reviewed individually, and we will follow up if space becomes available.
If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute ideas, questions, or discussion topics related to the Rural Health Transformation Program to one of the Regional Meetings, please submit your thoughts using our Community Input Form.
