Who we are

The AECCC was created in 2010 to improve services in health, education, and family support in Alaska. Using the "Early Childhood Alaska: A Strategic Direction for 2020-2025" plan to guide its work, the council advises state leaders, encouraging support for the plan's goals for children and families.

 

What we do

The AECCC meets the federal requirement for a Head Start advisory council and advises on other federal programs like MIECHV, the Preschool Development Grant, and the Child Care Development Block Grant. The AECCC meets at least four times a year. Check the State of Alaska, Online Public Notices to find the next scheduled meeting.
