Overview

We aim to help children and youth transition successfully to a safe and appropriate placement. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where they can feel secure and work toward positive change. 

Who qualifies?

This program serves both custody and non-custody children and youth in residential care who need a safe and caring environment.

How to use

The program focuses on outcomes for children and youth: 

  • Short-Term Outcomes:

    • Increased sense of safety and security. 

    • Improved understanding of why they are in care. 

  • Intermediate Outcomes: 

    • Greater ability to make positive changes. 

    • Increased use of positive behaviors. 

  • Long-Term Outcomes: 

    • Building resilience and helping children thrive. 

The Program Manager oversees grants, approves activities, and collaborates with providers and the Department to ensure quality care and services. Providers offer compassionate and effective services to help children in residential care overcome challenges and succeed.
