Senior Residential Services Grants
Funding to help rural providers offer housing and care services for seniors
Overview
This program gives money to providers in rural and remote areas of Alaska to support frail Elders in residential living.
The goal is to help Elders stay in their communities as they grow older, keeping them near family, culture, and familiar places, while avoiding the need to move to bigger cities for care. Residents receive personal support with daily tasks, household chores, and activities that help them stay socially and culturally connected.
Who qualifies?
Seniors 60+ who are at risk of institutionalization, are frail, elderly, or who have been diagnosed with ADRD, adults under 60 who are diagnosed with ADRD, and adults with a physical disability who are not able to live independently.
