Tobacco Prevention and Control Program
Help Alaskans quit tobacco
Who we are
For over 20 years, the Alaska Tobacco Prevention and Control program has worked to help Alaskans quit tobacco, protect the public from secondhand smoke, keep youth tobacco-free, and educate the public on industry tactics that target new generations.
What we do
- Support free tobacco quitting help for all Alaskans
- Partner with tribal health organizations and health care providers to improve quitting services
- Educate the public about the health effects of tobacco use and secondhand smoke
- Promote community policies that reduce tobacco use and protect smokefree spaces
- Empower youth to live healthy, tobacco and nicotine-free lives
- Collect and share data on tobacco use and its health impacts in Alaska
