Who we are
The Alaska Early Intervention/Infant Learning Program (EI/ILP) is a statewide system of programs dedicated to helping families with children experiencing developmental delay access the services and resources they need to help their children thrive.
What we do
The goal of the Alaska Early Intervention/Infant Learning Program (EI/ILP) is to assure that coordinated, community-based early intervention services are available for families with infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental concerns.
Our mission is to enhance learning and development of young children by building upon their natural supports and providing resources to family members and caregivers that are:
- Designed to assess the full range of developmental needs of each child and the needs of their families related to their child's development
- Provided by qualified personnel
- Family centered
- Documented and described on the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Designed to include a wide range of family-centered services, resources and supports
- Provided in everyday routines, activities and places relevant to families lives
Services for eligible families may include:
- Developmental screening and evaluation
- Coordination of medical, therapeutic, and other related services
- Home visits to help the family better understand their child’s developmental
strengths and needs and guide their children in learning new skills - Physical, occupational, speech and/or developmental therapy, to help
families support their child’s development and participation in daily routines
and activities - Specialized equipment and resources to promote development
- Transition into appropriate services at age 3
