A Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is a Residential Psychiatric Treatment Center (RPTC) that has been federally certified.
A PRTF provides 24-hour, non-hospital mental health treatment to children and adolescents with severe emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric disorders. PRTFs are designed for individuals who require structured, intensive care but do not need hospitalization.
