Fact: Diseases such as diphtheria are rare because of routine vaccines. Thanks for staying up to date.

Fact: Whooping cough is most dangerous in newborns who are too young to be vaccinated.

Fact: Whooping cough can be serious, especially for babies. Routine vaccines are the best protection.

Flu fact: Flu can be more severe than the common cold for children. That's why it's important to make sure your child has gotten a flu vaccine this season.

Fact: The meningococcal vaccine is recommended for all adolescents at age 11-12 years.

Fact: The HPV vaccine helps prevent six types of cancer.

Fact: Whooping cough is most dangerous and deadly in newborn babies who are too young to be vaccinated. The best way to protect them is by making sure older children and adults who have contact with babies are up-to-date on their Tdap vaccine.
